Rays pick up SS Yunel Escobar from Marlins

Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Rays have acquired Yunel Escobar from the Marlins in exchange for infield prospect Derek Dietrich.
Escobar is coming off a year in which he batted just .253/.300/.344 and also has major makeup concerns, but it should turn out to be a pretty good deal for the Rays if they can keep him in line. Dietrich was recently ranked by Baseball America as the No. 9 prospect in the Rays' system.
