ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports that the Mets are pushing for Royals' prospect Wil Myers in trade talks for R.A. Dickey.
The Mets want a huge return for Dickey and this is just the latest example. The Royals would prefer to deal some lower-profile prospects, so unless they blink, the two clubs are unlikely to have a match. Myers, 21, batted .314/.387/.600 with 37 home runs and 109 RBI in 134 games this summer between Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha and is considered one of the top position prospects in the game.
