According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers expect Ben Roethlisberger (ribs, shoulder) to start Sunday's game against the Chargers.
"Ben is our quarterback," said coach Mike Tomlin, "and if he's capable of playing, we'll play him." Roethlisberger will practice on Wednesday. At that point, the Steelers are expecting to see enough improvement in arm strength and range of motion to get him back under center. Even if Big Ben is operating at less than 100 percent against the Chargers, he will still represent a massive upgrade for the entire Steelers' offense. We've seen him excel while playing through pain many times before.
