According to Jayson Stark of ESPN, the Orioles are in "hard" on free agent first baseman Adam LaRoche.
The Red Sox had interest in LaRoche but no longer do after locking up Mike Napoli to a three-year, $39 million contract. Which leaves the Nationals, Rangers, Mariners, Rays and now O's as the 33-year-old's potential suitors. LaRoche batted .271/.343/.510 with 33 home runs and 100 RBI in 154 games this past season for Washington.
