Charlie Wi chased his opening 67 at the Memorial with a 2-over-par 38-36=74 in his second round to reach the halfway point in 3-under 141, six strokes off the 36-hole lead.
Wi is fortunate that he's still in the conversation. He landed just 11 greens in regulation and converted two birdies, the longer of which measuring 13'7" at the 12th hole. While he rolled in a par save from the same distance at 17, it did little to ease the pain of two bogeys and a double earlier. He was the last to complete 36 holes and remain inside the top 10 on the leaderboard.
