Gates goes for 49 yards in Week 13 loss

Antonio Gates caught six balls for 49 yards in the Chargers' Week 13 loss to Cincinnati.
Gates was mostly limited to short catches, but at least he was a prominent member of this week's passing game. Gates saw eight targets to finish second on the Chargers behind Danario Alexander (10 targets, 102 yards). Gates is obviously not going to come close to preseason expectations, and will be difficult to count on as even a back-end TE1 in Week 13 at Pittsburgh. Through 12 games, Gates is on pace for 51 catches, 556 yards, and 5.3 touchdowns.
