According to Buster Olney of ESPN.com, the Mets and R.A. Dickey have made "some progress" in extension talks but are "not close to a deal."
Olney reported Saturday that the Mets had upped their offer to the knuckleballer, though it sounds like they didn't increase it enough just yet. Dickey is reportedly looking for a two-year extension worth more than $20 million. If the two sides can't come together relatively soon, the Mets will probably trade the 38-year-old.
