Bill Haas establishes 36-hole clubhouse lead

Bill Haas chased his opening 68 at the Memorial with a 5-under-par 32-35=67 to post 9-under 135, good for early possession of the 36-hole clubhouse lead.
Haas landed only 11 greens in regulation today, but he maximized on his scoring opportunities. He started the show with a standard-issue birdie conversion from 11'7" at the fourth hole. A hole-out for eagle from a greenside bunker at the par-5 fifth ensued, as did another birdie from 16'10" at 6. He offset two bogeys with three birdies coming in, including a 20'9" roll at 14. Overall, he's played the par 5s in bogey-free 7-under.
