Figgins predictably didn't draw any interest on waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this month. The 34-year-old batted just .227/.302/.283 with a .585 OPS over 308 games with Seattle. The Mariners are still on the hook for the $8 million he's owed in 2013 while Figgins can sign with any team at the major league minimum.
