Giants general manager Brian Sabean said talks with Angel Pagan and Marco Scutaro are moving slowly, but the team remains committed to bringing both players back.
"I think it's just the nature of doing business these days," Sabean said of the slow progress. "Both parties want the best deal for each side. You flush out the possibilities, come to a head and try to get something done. We're not at that point yet." As Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle notes, the chances of re-signing Scutaro are higher than that of Pagan, simply because Pagan is expected to draw more interest and money.
