Brendan Gaughan was relegated to a 29th-place finish following a mid-race, multi-truck accident during the NCWTS season opener at Daytona.
The No. 62 driver started from the 15th position. While vying for position within the top 10, Gaughan was caught between two of his fellow competitors creating a multi-truck accident that sent the RCR Chevrolet to the garage for repairs. Gaughan returned to the track 20 laps down from the leader. Despite a valiant effort by the team, Gaughan crossed the finish line 29th, 26 laps off of the lead lap. Following the first race of the season, Gaughan sits 28th in the NCWTS point standings.-Richard Childress Racing
