Mike Napoli and his agent, Brian Grieper, will meet with Rangers officials this week.
Napoli has already visited with the Red Sox and Mariners, and now it's the Rangers' turn to make their pitch in hopes of retaining him. With Texas expected to non-tender Geovany Soto, re-signing Napoli would seem to be a pretty high priority. That said, the fact that they didn't make him a qualifying offer indicates they probably aren't prepared to go overboard for the 31-year-old. Napoli wants four years, but the Rangers will likely only offer him three. He turned down a three-year, $38 million extension offer from them last offseason.
