Kaepernick likely to keep 49ers starting job
Colin Kaepernick - QB - San Francisco 49ers
Nov. 26, 2012 - 1:45 AM ET

Although coach Jim Harbaugh was publicly noncommittal when asked to name his starting quarterback in Sunday's post-win press conference, CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco is confident it'll remain Colin Kaepernick.

Maiocco is the best reporter and writer on the Niners' beat. "I'll be really surprised if Alex Smith gets his job back," he said. Through two starts -- both wins -- Kaepernick has completed 32-of-48 passes (66.7 percent) for 474 yards (9.88 YPA) and three touchdowns while rushing ten times for 37 yards and a fourth score. He's committed one turnover. We're confident, as well, that Kaepernick will stay under center when the Niners visit St. Louis in Week 13.
