Jeffery undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery
Alshon Jeffery - WR - Chicago Bears
Nov. 20, 2012 - 9:30 PM ET

The Chicago Tribune reports rookie WR Alshon Jeffery will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday, and is out indefinitely.

Per beat writer Brad Biggs, "it is possible" Jeffery will suit up again in the regular season. There is no official timetable for his return, however. Jeffery went down near the end of Monday night's lopsided loss. He was sidelined for Weeks 5-10 with a broken hand. The No. 45 overall pick does not have a history of knee issues. Jeffery's absence again leaves the Bears with no viable vertical threat opposite Brandon Marshall. Devin Hester and Earl Bennett should resume rotating snaps. Jeffery can be safely dropped in redraft leagues.
