Yankees showing interest in Scott Hairston

According to the New York Post's Dan Martin, the Yankees are interested in free agent Scott Hairston.
With Nick Swisher not expected back next year, the Yankees are considering Hairston for a platoon role with Raul Ibanez. Coming off his most productive offensive season, Hairston is likely to command a raise from the $1.1 million he made in 2012. The Mets haven't ruled out re-signing him on a short-term contract this winter.
