Several teams showing interest in J.P. Howell

Free agent J.P. Howell would like to return to the Rays but indicated Saturday that there are "a handful" of teams that have shown interest in signing him.
Howell added that he wasn't sure how quickly his decision would come. The 29-year-old posted a 3.04 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 42/22 K/BB ratio over 50 1/3 innings for the Rays in 2012, and is one of the finest left-handed specialists on the free agent market.
