Charl Schwartzel settled for a 1-under-par 35-34=69 in the third round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship and enters the final round in a tie for fifth at 8-under 202.
The South African had a chance to take it one deeper at the par-5 16th, but couldn't convert a 3'6" birdie effort. Though he's tied for first in GIR, with 81.48 percent of his approaches leading to birdie attempts for the week, he found the dance floor a mere 10 times in the third round. Given he missed the cut for the first time all season at last week's PLAYERS, it's a good sign that he's back in the hunt at TPC Four Seasons this week.
