Martellus dealing with extra attention
Martellus Bennett - TE - New York Giants
Nov. 15, 2012 - 3:25 PM ET

Giants TEs coach Mike Pope attributes Martellus Bennett's disappointing production of late to extra defensive attention.

"After he had a score-a-game early in the year," said Pope, "people started playing him with much tighter coverage, battering him as he's coming off the line of scrimmage and made his job harder." Now that his knee is getting back to full health and Hakeem Nicks is regaining effectiveness, Bennett is a good bet to bounce back down the stretch against one of the NFL's easiest pass defense schedules.
