R. Palmer remains close halfway thru Nelson

Ryan Palmer chased his opening 65 at the HP Byron Nelson Championship with a 2-under-par 34-34=68 to reach the midpoint in 7-under 133, one stroke off the pace of the 36-hole clubhouse co-leaders.
Palmer found just 12 greens today but he tacked on another five birdies to total 11 thus far. The longest of today's par breakers measured 20'10" at the eighth hole. All three of his bogeys in the second round were as a result of missing the green in regulation on a par 4.
