Eddie A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports that Jonny Gomes is looking for a multi-year contract.
The Orioles are one of the teams who have expressed interest in Gomes, but they are reluctant to offer more than one year. The 31-year-old batted .262/.377/.491 with 18 home runs and an .868 OPS in 333 plate appearances with the A's this season. With his strong production against left-handed pitching, he could be a useful piece in a platoon situation.
