Piercy rekindles fire at TPC Four Seasons

Scott Piercy posted a 4-under-par 34-32=66 in his opening round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship, finishing six swings adrift of the clubhouse lead.
Piercy's only payday in his last five starts was a forgettable T54 at the Masters, so today's score is a welcome surprise. He hit 15 greens at TPC Four Season and negotiated five birdies, including respective rolls from 27'5" and 10'7" at the second and ninth holes. His only misstep was a bogey at the par-4 third hole where he rinsed his tee ball.
