Robert Karlsson carded a 6-under-par 33-31=64 in his opening round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship.
Karlsson had the week off following a T4 at the Wells Fargo Championship, so he may have been flying under the radar upon arrival at TPC Four Seasons. He hit 14 greens in regulation today en route to seven birdies. The longest of the bunch measured just 12'3" at the fifth hole. The Swede suffered just one blemish, that a bogey at the par-4 eighth where he round the rough right of the fairway off the tee. However, he was still able to match a career low on the PGA TOUR carded twice before. He signed his card sitting four strokes off the clubhouse lead.
