Lakers officially announce D'Antoni signing

The Lakers officially announced the hiring of Mike D'Antoni on Monday, but he's not expected to join the team until Wednesday.
D'Antoni recently had knee surgery and is awaiting medical clearance to fly, so Bernie Bickerstaff will patrol the sidelines vs. the Spurs on Tuesday. D'Antoni, who has reportedly reached out to coach Nate McMillan, said last month that a Steve Nash-Dwight Howard pick-and-roll "is as good as you can get."
