Chris Stroud spun a 3-under-par 36-33=69 in the third round of THE PLAYERS, reaching the 54-hole mark at 5-under 211.
It was a pretty calm day for Stroud until he reached the 13th hole. With just two birdies and one bogey on the card, he stood on the tee at the par-3 13th with a 6-iron in hand and 186 yards separating him from the hole. He landed his approach short and right of the pin, then his ball caught a slope and rolled perfectly into the center of the cup. It was the second hole-in-one of the week, joining Michael Thompson's ace at the par-3 eighth in the opening round.
