Lingmerth three back at THE PLAYERS midpoint

David Lingmerth matched his opening 68 at THE PLAYERS in his second round to reach the halfway point in 8-under 136.
Lingmerth turned in respective nines of 35 and 33 today. He hit just 10 greens in regulation but buried five birdies, none longer than six feet. His only bogey of the round occurred at the par-4 18th where he short-sided his approach right of the green and eventually whiffed on the par attempt from 10'9". He'll wake up on Saturday sitting three strokes off the 36-hole lead.
