Horschel's consecutive cuts made streak ends

Billy Horschel shot 3-over-par 76-71=147 at THE PLAYERS and will miss the cut.
He's going to have nightmares about the par-4 18th hole. He three-putted from inside 25 feet for double bogey on Thursday, and then knocked two into the water en route to a triple bogey today to miss the cut by three. Otherwise, Horschel submitted a yeoman's effort in his debut at TPC Sawgrass, hitting 25 greens and converting nine birdies. This is his first missed cut in 24 starts. Look for him to try again at next week's HP Byron Nelson Championship, site of his last missed cut.
