Howell III goes bogey-free in second round

Charles Howell III crafted a bogey-free, 5-under-par 34-33=67 in his second round of THE PLAYERS to reach the midpoint in 6-under 138.
CH3 went 3-for-3 in scrambling today, a slate that included par conversions of 11'4" at the seventh hole and 19'4" at 18. He also circled five birdies, three of which from beyond 11 feet, the longest measuring 28'1" at the par-4 10th. He signed today's card sitting three strokes off the early 36-hole clubhouse lead.
