Karlsson nabs first top 15 since the 2011 PGA
May 5, 2013 - 11:25 PM ET

Robert Karlsson turned in an even-par 35-37=72 in the final round of the Wells Fargo Championship to pick up his first top-15 finish on the PGA TOUR since the 2011 PGA Championship.

The Swede circled his first of two birdies on the par-4 eighth from 7'8", then tacked on a second on the par-4 14th from 3'5". His blemishes fell at the par-3 13th when he missed the green long and left and failed to get up-and-down and the par-4 18th after a poor drive after which he posted 6-under 282, two strokes too high to join the playoff. This success has been a long time in the making, and perhaps it is fitting that it happened in his adopted hometown of Charlotte, N.C. He is not in the field for this week's PLAYERS.
