Streelman keeps pedal depressed at the WFC

Kevin Streelman carded a 4-under-par 34-34=68 in his opening round of the Wells Fargo Championship.
He took a week off after sharing third place at Harbour Town. You have to love his resolve. After winning in Tampa in mid-March, he acknowledged that it was merely the next step in the progression of his career. Television viewers love the histrionics and emotion of guys like Billy Horschel after their breakthroughs, but there's considerable value for gamers when a guy takes it in stride. Streelman hit 13 greens in regulation at Quail Hollow today and rolled in six birdies to erase two bogeys. His longest par breaker measured just 12'8" at the 11th hole. He signed his card one stroke back of the clubhouse co-leaders.
