It’s a return to the organization that drafted and developed Cooper into one of the better wideouts in the sport before he moved on to the Cowboys, Browns and Bills; respectively. The 31-year-old isn’t the same playmaker he was in those previous Silver and Black years, and he’s coming off a season where he caught 44 passes for 547 yards with four touchdowns with Cleveland and Buffalo. That being said, the Las Vegas depth chart offers very little competition, and it’s pretty easy to see him being one of Geno Smith’s top targets for the 2025 campaign. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Raiders gave Cooper a one-year deal worth $3.5M, with a max value of $6M

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the deal will pay him $30 million in 2025; a $14 million raise from what he was owed, but he still will hit free agency in 2026 — assuming a long-term deal isn’t reached before that, of course. The 30-year-old will end his contentious holdout with the Bengals and should once again be among the best pass rushers in the league after accumulating 17.5 sacks in each of the past two seasons. The question now is whether this sets some sort of potential framework for Micah Parsons and his potential extension with the Cowboys.

He’ll miss at least the first four weeks of the season. Nick Chubb should be Houston’s early-down back to begin proceedings in September. Mixon has not been spotted practicing in any real form just yet and is a candidate to miss more than the first four weeks of the season. It’s a major setback for the Texans running game after Mixon’s sublime 2024 season. Dameon Pierce could also carve out a role early on.

Rapsheet notes that Meyers recently requested a trade while the two sides were negotiating a new contract, which was denied by the team. “The team, citing his value, said they had not plans (to trade him),” Rapoport adds. The two sides attempted to negotiate a new contract but were unable to come to terms, leaving the veteran wide receiver to play out the final year of his three-year, $33 million contract with the Raiders in 2025.

Jackson has been a massive question mark for the Rams this offseason after developing blood clots in June but avoided the PUP and NFI lists last month. The most recent update indicates he could be ready for the start of the regular season, which would be a significant boost to the protection of reeling veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford has been dealing with back issues all offseason with the team recently stating the intent is to “keep him upright” in Week 1 against the Texans. Jackson could go a long way in accomplishing that goal. It’ll still be a “wait and see” approach with Jackson but he currently appears to be trending in the right direction.

Andrews reportedly missed practice on Sunday as well. On Monday, he was seen working with a trainer off to the side, running routes and at times sprinting half the field’s length. The Ravens tend to share injury details minimally, so info may be difficult to come by. There is no reason to think he will miss Week 1 at this time. He’s a TE1 until further notice. Isaiah Likely (foot), Jaire Alexander (knee) and Chidobe Awuzie (undisclosed) also sat out team drills. Awuzie was seen working alongside Andrews, off to the side.

Schultz adds that the two sides are exploring “a more unique avenue” and that there is “cautious optimism” the two sides can get a deal done on an extension in short order. This has been one of the more befuddling contract negotiations of the offseason as the two sides have been seemingly far off from any real headway. The Bengals have gone so far as exploring trade options for their All-Pro defensive end, with the Patriots reportedly offering a premium pick for his services. Through it all, Hendrickson remains on the Bengals’ payroll, for the time being, and the two sides have reportedly reignited negotiations with an aim on keeping Hendrickson in Cincinnati this season. Schultz also stated that the Bengals have explored giving Hendrickson more money in 2025 while still allowing his contract to expire after the season. Stay tuned, this one could drag on further.

Great news. Jackson is practicing as scheduled. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told reporters on Saturday that Jackson was expected to return today, “unless he doesn’t want to.” Evidently, he wanted to. Fantasy managers can continue drafting Jackson as an overall QB1 candidate.

Stafford returned to the practice field last week as the team continues to take it easy on the veteran quarterback. Head coach Sean McVay has been less than forthcoming on Stafford’s status throughout the offseason, simply stating that they would take it one day at a time. While Stafford is certainly at the top of the list of players at increased injury risk, after practice, McVay said he believes Stafford will be “ready to roll against the Texans” in Week 1.
