Overnight leader Justin Rose settled for a 2-under-par 34-36=70 in his second round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, but it was still good enough to give him a share of the overnight lead entering Saturday's third round.
The Englishman birdied three of the four par 5s and added a zero-putt birdie from seven yards out at the par-3 second, but he swallowed a pair of bogeys coming in. His first bogey occurred at the par-3 14th where he missed the green short and right; he failed to converted a 51-inch par attempt. Rose also bogeyed the par-4 18th, where he three-putted from 25'7".
