Bill Haas crafted a bogey-free, 6-under-par 32-34=66 in his second round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational en route to outright possession of the 36-hole clubhouse lead at 9-under 135.
Haas is dealing with a sore neck and shoulders that prevents him from looking and turning to his left without discomfort. While he limped home on Thursday, it didn't influence his game today. He hit 15 greens in regulation and circled an eagle and four birdies. His eagle fell from inside nine feet at the par-5 16th hole, but three of his birdies measured over 10 feet. The set included conversions from 31'5" at 13 and 21'1" at the eighth hole. He didn't score as low as he could have either, as he missed birdie chances from inside 10 feet at holes 5 and 6.
