Vincent Brown breaks ankle, out eight weeks

Vincent Brown suffered a broken left ankle in Saturday's preseason game.

According to beat writer Kevin Acee, Brown will miss "at least" eight weeks, and is out for the remainder of the preseason. A best case-scenario would be returning after five games. The Chargers are back to square one, relying on injury-riddled Eddie Royal to man the slot between Robert Meachem and Malcom Floyd. Even when he returns, Brown could struggle to regain pre-injury form this season. We're not holding out hope for any 2012 fantasy value.
