Kevin Streelman fired a bogey-free 4-under-par 34-33=67 in the final round of the Tampa Bay Championship, claiming his first PGA TOUR victory by two strokes over Boo Weekley.
Streelman looked like a seasoned winner, playing his final 37 holes without a bogey to finish at 10-under 73-69-65-67=274. In his final lap around the Copperhead Course he was one of many to birdie the opening par five, then pitched in from 28 yards for a rare birdie on the par-4 third. His third birdie was an impressive iron to 6'3" to a tucked pin on the par-3 13th, then he put the final nail in the coffin when he drained a 19'2" birdie on the difficult par-3 17th. With this win, he gains entry into the Masters, WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship. He now heads to Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard.
