George Coetzee put together a tidy 3-under-par 34-34=68 in the third round of the Tampa Bay Championship to join Kevin Streelman and Justin Leonard in the lead at 6-under 207.
The South African is making his third start on American soil this season, and navigated the Copperhead Course with four birdies to just one bogey on a tough day for scoring. His bogey came at the start of The Snake Pit, when he failed to get up-and-down from 24 yards out of the left rough. He would bounce back with a birdie from 19'8" on the very next hole, then par the last. Should he win, the non-member would have the opportunity to take up membership on the PGA TOUR.
