Chris Sale improved to 14-3 in Sunday's 7-3 win over the A's, allowing just two runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings while fanning 11.
Sale issued zero free passes and served up two solo home runs in his second straight quality start after getting roughed up in his final two outings of July. The double-digit strikeout effort was his third of the season. He'll bring an elite 2.60 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 132/31 K/BB ratio into his Friday start in Kansas City.
