Manny Machado had a solid night in his long-awaited MLB debut on Thursday, going 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored in a losing effort against the Royals.
The 20-year-old infielder got the start at third base and hit ninth in the O's lineup. He's likely to receive pretty regular playing time for the remainder of the season, and could be worthy of a look as a shortstop or middle infielder in deeper mixed formats. While expectations should be tempered, he does possess tremendous raw talent and could be an impact bat down the stretch.
