Cole Hamels was masterful in Tuesday's shutout victory over the Braves, scattering five hits while walking none and striking out six.
It was Hamels' fifth career shutout and first since the 2009 season. All five Atlanta hits were singles, and the Braves never mounted a serious scoring threat. Hamels is now rocking a 12-6 record, a 3.14 ERA and a 153/40 K/BB ratio over 154 2/3 innings. He'll look to keep things rolling when he takes on the Marlins in Miami on Monday.
