Gomez leads in Puerto Rico; chasing first win

Fabian Gomez holds the lead at the Puerto Rico Open due in part to the sizzling 7-under-par 30-35=65 he turned in, improving his 54-hole total to 18-under 198.
His round is tied with Matt Jones for the low round of the day. A veteran of 31 PGA TOUR events entering this week, Gomez has just one top 10. He does own a win on the Web.com Tour. In his third navigation of Trump International Golf Club-Puerto Rico, he circled eight birdies to just one bogey. The bogey was just his second of the week. He will try and close the door on his first TOUR win in Sunday's final round.
