Eric Axley turned in a bogey-free, 6-under-par 66 at today's four-spotter for the Puerto Rico Open, earning a berth into the tournament proper.
The one-time PGA TOUR winner scattered six birdies on the River Course at Rio Mar Beach Resort in Rio Grande to share runner-up honors with Garrett Osborn (1 eagle, 7 birdies, 3 bogeys) and John Stoltz (1 eagle, 4 birdies; all on holes 11-16). Jon Curran was the medalist with an 8-under 64 that included nine birdies and one bogey. The field at Trump International Golf Club is now complete at 132.
