Haren admits to back pain after rough outing
Dan Haren - S - Los Angeles Angels
July 4, 2012 - 1:30 AM ET

After a miserable month of June, Dan Haren's struggles continued into July as he allowed six runs on nine hits in just 4 1/3 innings during Tuesday's loss to the Indians.

Haren struck out one and walked one in the game. The Indians seemingly threatened every inning, and Haren didn't have anywhere near the deception nor swing-and-miss stuff that we've become accustomed to seeing. He's now posted an 8.67 ERA (26 earned runs in 27 innings) over his last five starts and admitted to feeling some back soreness late Tuesday night. He'll be examined when the Angels return to Los Angeles and could be bound for the 15-day disabled list.
