Hanson shoots 80; one of six MDFs at Riviera

Peter Hanson opened his week at the Northern Trust Open with a 2-under-par 69, but a third-round 9-over 41-39=80 means he will not stick around for Sunday's finale.
The Swede finished the week at 9-over 222. He is joined at Riviera CC by Retief Goosen (218), Jeff Maggert (219), Michael Block (221), David Mathis (221) and Jason Kokrak (224) as those without a tee time in the final round. One would think that this is not the way Hanson saw his warm-up for the WGC-Accenture Match Play ending, but now turns his attention to Dove Mountain.
