Steady day finds W. Simpson three back at NTO

Webb Simpson posted a neat little 3-under-par 34-34=68 in the third round of the Northern Trust Open and trails Bill Haas by three at 9-under 204.
Simpson circled four birdies to just one bogey on his trip around Riviera CC. He took advantage of two of the three par 5s, converting short birdie opportunities. He also added a birdie on the short par-4 10th to go with a 3'9" birdie on the par-4 third. His bogey was the result of a poor drive on the par-4 seventh. It's hard to believe, but he will go for his first top 10 of the season on Sunday.
