Sergio Garcia posted a 2-under-par 35-34=69 in the third round of the Northern Trust Open to reach the final round at 6-under 207.
It was all pars for Garcia going out, drawing blood for the first time with a 29 7" eagle on the par-5 11th. He followed that up with a birdie from five inches on the difficult par-4 12th thanks to a stellar approach from 179 yards. His only bogey came at the par-3 14th when he failed to convert a par save from 4'4" after a nice splash from the sand. He will have his work cut out for him if he has his sights set on winning, trailing Bill Haas by six strokes.
