Ishikawa survives first 2013 cut; MDF looms

At 2-over-par 71-73=144, Ryo Ishikawa survived the cut on the number at the Northern Trust Open.
He made it interesting, carding a bogey-5 at the 18th hole to close out his second round. Yet, it clinched his first payday in four starts this season, not the kind of beginning he had planned in his first year as a PGA TOUR member. Ishikawa was one of 10 golfers tied for 70th at the midpoint; therefore, a second cut of low 70 and ties will occur after 54 holes are complete.
