Roy Oswalt will make his Rangers' debut Friday against the Rockies.
Oswalt was cleared to join the Rangers' rotation after posting a 5.87 ERA and 13/4 K/BB ratio over four starts between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. While the results could have been better, there's little reason for concern given his lengthy track record. The 34-year-old was limited to 23 starts with the Phillies last season due to a back condition, but he still posted a 3.69 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 93/33 K/BB ratio in 139 innings. We'll probably see an uptick in ERA with the switch over to the American League, but he should still have plenty of value in most mixed fantasy leagues.
