Jacobson scrambles his way to an opening 68

Fredrik Jacobson signed for a 3-under-par 35-33=68 following his opening round of the Northern Trust Open.
The scorecard looks a lot better than he played tee to green today. Jacobson split only eight (of 14) fairways and hit just 11 greens in regulation but limited the damage to one bogey (at the par-3 fourth hole). His most notable par save was also his longest conversion of the day, a 10-yard hole-out from off the green at 2. Included in his set of four birdies were respective conversions from 10'3" and 20 feet at Nos. 11 and 7.
