McCarthy (shoulder) scratched from next start

Brandon McCarthy has been scratched from his scheduled Wednesday start due to shoulder soreness.
McCarthy is headed back to the Bay Area to get an MRI on his right shoulder. He missed 15 days earlier this year with a similar issue and seems likely to be placed back on the shelf. The 28-year-old right-hander has registered a 2.79 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in 71 innings this season.
