Blanton K's seven in win over Orioles

Joe Blanton wasn't sharp against the Orioles on Friday, but still managed to pick up the victory despite allowing five runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings.
He did rack up seven strikeouts and only walked one. With the victory, he improves to 5-6 on the season, though his 5.40 ERA doesn't inspire any confidence. Staked to a 7-0 lead after the second inning, Blanton proceeded to pound the strike zone the remainder of his night. He'll hope the run support carries over when he battles the Twins in Minnesota on Thursday.
