Every buries seven birdies to grab the lead
Feb. 7, 2013 - 6:05 PM ET

Matt Every turned in a 5-under-par 35-32=67 at Pebble Beach for his opening round of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Every landed 13 greens in regulation and holed seven birdies, including five on his second nine (Pebble's front side). His conversions included rolls from 22'4" at the first hole and 11'8" at 8. At the time he signed his card, he held sole possession of the clubhouse lead. Look for him at Monterey Peninsula Country Club's Shore Course on Friday.
